ConAgra upgrades Cedar Rapids facility

CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa — ConAgra Foods will invest $10 million to upgrade packaging equipment at the Cedar Rapids plant, where the company produces private brand cereal products.

The Iowa Economic Development Authority awarded ConAgra tax benefits under the High Quality Jobs Program in support of the project. According to a news release, the project will retain 130 jobs, with 33 incented at a qualifying wage of $23.45 an hour.

ConAgra Foods manufactures, distributes and markets private-brand food products.  Its products include ready-to-eat and hot cereals and nutritional cereal bars.
