Quality Refrigerated Services to build new storage facility in Spencer

SPENCER, Iowa – Quality Refrigerated Services, a cold storage company, plans to build a new 30,000-square-foot warehouse in Spencer. Including coolers, freezers and a loading dock, the new facility represents a $4.4 million capital investment.

The Iowa Economic Development Authority has granted the company $84,000 in tax incentives through the High Quality Jobs Program. Under the terms of the agreement, the company will create 14 new jobs, including two incented at a qualifying wage of $18.49.

Quality Refrigerated Services began serving customers in Spencer in 1989. The company provides its clients with packaging, freezing and standard cold storage services.
