BoDeans awarded incentives for expansion

LE MARS, Iowa – BoDeans Cone Company, a subsidiary of BoDeans Baking Group, is planning to invest approximately $4.5 million to expand its warehouse at its Le Mars facility.

The Iowa Economic Development Authority board awarded tax benefits to BoDeans through the High Quality Jobs program, according to a press release. The company’s investment is expected to create two jobs at a qualifying wage of $19.87 an hour, the press release stated.

BoDeans’ expansion consists of constructing a roughly 65,000-square-foot expansion on the west side of the current building. Construction is expected to be completed this year.

BoDeans Baking group owns BoDeans Cone Company, maker of ice cream cones, and the wafer company, maker of wafers for ice cream products. The company has been producing ice cream cones in Le Mars since 2001.
