Tyson beefs up production in Council Bluffs

COUNCIL BLUFFS, Iowa — Tyson Foods is adding 60 jobs at one of its plants in Council Bluffs.

Tyson officials recently announced that the plant is adding workers to help process pork chops and roasts in Council Bluffs.

Tyson has operated the Council Bluffs plant, which specializes in case-ready pork and beef, since 2001, and currently employs about 1,100.

According to an article in The City Wire, Doug Griffin, manager of the Council Bluffs plant, is excited that he is able to hire additional workers in Council Bluffs. Hiring is underway.
